Tales of Paris
A short missive before my brain and/or back gives out.
Paris is still Paris. It is really weird to watch a city morph under your work life experiences from something very different than when it was associated only with good things. For one, this is the first time I have been traveling post-grand discovery that I actually am not really very good at navigating at all (insert big DUH here). Short, iffy-at-best memory combined with panic-induced dyslexia do not a top level navigator make.
Thus getting the public transit system "under the knee" (that is a Dutch daying y'all - don't say I never share any culture niblets with you) has been a pleasure. It helps that the three places I go to every day (apartment - office - school) are all on the same line.
The only boo factor so far is that I've managed to re-F*** up my back again. Not even sure how that happened, but I have an appt with my Doc back in A'dam next week, hopefully it is nothing that can't wait until then.
Ok, off to lay on my back this evening with feet elevated - ah, the exotic traveling life...

Oh, that sucks. Is the back pain correlated with personal stress (i.e. not just physical stress)? Aren't you trying to cram in an insane amount of work this week? Not that knowing the cause will make your back feel any better right now...
Back pain is awful. Poor thing. And for it to act up while traveling doubly sucks. Hope the short term rest helps!!
Yes back paid is - well a pain, a royal pain. I've heard an application of heavy doses of red wine will help :)
So Sorry to hear about your back. I'm sure you're applying heat and all that. Can't be fun!
Sorry to hear about your back!! .. and your lack of traveling skills. :) LOL
Hope you feel better soon!!
