Friday we went to that recent favorite, the 2 hour play group. Excellent way to exhaust the Munchkin when the weather is cold and wet outside (aka all the time). We used our xmas present to make lunch: a tosti maker. Bread + cheese = happy Munchkin In the afternoon we went out for a bit of shopping. A thoroughly relaxing mommy day after a very busy week at the office.
Saturday I attended a First Aid course, which was excellent. I re-learned how to give CPR, put people into the recovery position, and various other good things to know when you have small people who don't know. I am sure I'll forget a lot of it, but I hope I will find a way to refresh the information every year. If only to give you a bit of peace of mind when presented with a serious situation, that small amount of training will hopefully help you stay calm enough to be able to help.
Then in the evening - we went out. For a fancy ass meal. A very fancy meal. Michelin 2 stars fancy. Ron Blaauw. I have to say, it was... okay. We had the tasting menu and this turned out to be a lot of experimental dishes. Only one of them was really mind blowing. The rest were good but for 100 EUR I sort of expected a little more. For my father, we took pictures of every course, but I fear it will be a little delay before I post them here.
Sunday after such a crazy, non-stop week, we did nothing. Some friends called us, E and M and their daughter N, so we went to the park. We had lunch, we went to swimming. It was relaxed. Tomorrow and this week is full of even more crazy travel. It was good to have a couple days off.

Its so disappointing when you spend a bunch of money and it ends up just being OK.
I agree, just a shame to have it be okay as I'm sure it's not easy to get into and it's obviously not cheap. Boo.
